Cookie Policy

Effective: June 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies, localStorage, and similar technologies Tycoon Tycoon uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What these technologies are

  • Cookies are small text files set by your browser when you visit a site.
  • localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage that holds data on your device until you clear it.
  • IndexedDB is a larger browser database that some games use to cache assets and save state offline.

2. What we use, and why

Strictly necessary (always on)

  • Authentication tokens stored in localStorage to keep you signed in.
  • CSRF protection tokens.
  • Game state cache in localStorage / IndexedDB so games keep working briefly if your connection drops.

These cannot be turned off because the Service won't work without them.

Functional

  • UI preferences (e.g., dismissed banners, last-played game) stored in localStorage.

Error reporting

  • When a page crashes, we send the error message, stack trace, and current route to our own servers. This is a network request, not a cookie. We do not use third-party analytics or session-replay trackers.

What we do not use

  • No third-party advertising cookies.
  • No cross-site behavioral tracking pixels.
  • No fingerprinting libraries.
  • No social-media share trackers loaded automatically.

3. How to control them

  • You can clear cookies and localStorage at any time in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and may clear unsaved game state.
  • Most browsers let you block third-party cookies by default; we do not rely on them.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a CCPA opt-out of "sale" or "share," even though we do not currently sell or share personal information.

4. Changes

If we add a new category of cookie or tracking technology, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
